I am not your typical 'Guy with a camera' or videographer. I focus on art as a cinematographer. I take the time to set up the scene with the correct lighting, angles and focal lengths to communicate the story being told.
JDS Pictures is available for video production for Commercials, Music videos, Live Performances, Documentaries, Cinematography etc.
I direct, film & edit my own work and also work as a Director of Photography or Cinematographer for other Directors or Producers. 
I can also work as a Sound Technician or Gaffer (Chief Lighting Technician) for other film productions.
Many film makers need to rent their equipment, adding to the project costs for the customer.
I own an extensive amount of equipment keeping production costs low which is very important especially for long shoots/Independent films.
I am a southern NH based filmmaker but shoot all over New England and periodically in NY. I have even shot in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania so I am open to travel

An example of an on-location video shoot using a generator to properly light the subject.
This was for the filming of the 'Spice Center' commercial in Manchester NH.
Using my Kessler Crane KC12 Jib on set for the "It's OK" Music Video June 2013
Having a 502 fluid head on the end of the Jib allows compound movements to be made.
My camera set up allows quick changes from Tripod to Jib to Shoulder rig as needed. This is very important on a busy set. I also have the Jib tripod mounted on a dolly to easily change placement of the jib.
Here I am giving direction for a commercial filmed at the Nashua Airport.
I was Director of photography for Director Arnold Soko.
On set for the 'Cell Mart' Commercial. Many lights were needed to properly light the room.
